Positives: Natural athleticism... Good size... Very good speed... Gets off the LOS quickly... Reaches top speed quickly... Can get separation... Pure route runner... Finds holes in zone coverage... Can create some matchup problems... Good body control and balance... Good receiver... High points the pass... Good hands... Can make the difficult catches... Agile with reasonably quick nimble feet... Runs well with the football... Fairly elusive in the open field... Is more of a flex tight end, can put his hand down on the end of the line, split out wide or go in motion to create a mismatch... High football IQ... Sat out the 2009 season to redshirt and save his final season of eligibility and receive more playing time in 2010... Could also be considered as an H-Back... Has a lot of potential and will probably be over-drafted if he runs an elite 40-time... Selected All-Sun Belt second team for the 2010 season... Mature, married with one kid.
Negatives: NInconsistent concentration... Very skinny... Needs to add 15-20 lbs. of muscle... Very poor blocker... Not strong at POA... Needs to add some bulk to rangy frame... Lacks the bulk to deliver anything more than a one on one block in the open field... Is more of a big wide receiver and will be an NFL project that will take a few seasons to fully develop.

Auburn has announced that junior WR Darvin Adams has applied to the NFL to enter the 2011 draft. Adams led the Tigers in receiving this past season
when he had 52 catches for almost a 1,000 yards and seven TDs.
Underclassmen had until Saturday�s deadline to apply for early entry to the draft, but names are still dribbling out as no one is obliged to actually make an announcement at that time.
