Draft Tribune: Your Draft Authority

Snub Moore works it out

Posted by Administrator On February - 20 - 2009

On a cold and blustery day, as the NFL’s top prospects measure in at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, the biggest snub of the event held his own private workout in front of 14 NFL teams.

Former Wyoming running back Devin Moore is a native of Indianapolis. He is the all-time leading rusher in Wyoming history and a possible mid-round draft selection but the committee which spearheads the NFL Combine did not think he was worthy of an invitation.

Well, at his privately held workout for 14 NFL teams, Moore did not fail to impress. He ran the forty yard dash in 4.38 & 4.45 seconds. He bench pressed 225 lbs. 27 times and had a vertical jump of 35″.

Officially, Devin Moore measured in at 5′9″, 192 lbs.

In 2008, Moore rushed for 1,303 yards and 7 touchdowns. He averaged more yards per game than Knowshon Moreno, Glen Coffee, and Kory Sheets.

Our biggest question is why did Devin Moore get snubbed from the NFL Combine but running backs such as Anthony Kimble (Stanford) & Kahlil Bell (UCLA) are able to participate?

This formey Wyoming Cowboy is drawing interest and could be selected as high as the fourth round on draft day, combine or no combine.
