Scott Porter: What are your biggest strengths?
James Ruffin: Quickness, physical toughness, awareness, being disruptive, making plays when they count, and good student of the game.
Scott Porter: What are your goals for the next 5 years or so?
James Ruffin: I plan on winning a national championship, getting my degree. Get drafted in the NFL and become a starter before year three at the latest.
Scott Porter: What will you miss most about college football?
James Ruffin: Just being apart of a family and having that togetherness with the community and the atmosphere along with having family at every game.
Scott Porter: What would you tell an NFL team interested in drafting you? What kind of person are they getting?
James Ruffin: They won't regret making the decision, and not only am I a good football player but I strive on being the best. Also, I am versatile. They are getting a coachable player...and a player that will do whatever it takes to help a team win. I am also a good person to have around and am disciplined off the field.
Scott Porter: Who has been your biggest influence?
James Ruffin: God, and my mom because of how she raised me my brother and sister giving the circumstances.
Scott Porter: What is your favorite memory while playing college football?
James Ruffin: Would be going undefeated until Delaware in 2007. Also, being named defensive player of the year.
Scott Porter: What are your hobbies off the field?
James Ruffin: Being chilled and relaxed, watching movies, hanging with friends and teammates.
Scott Porter: What do you like most about playing college football in the state of Iowa?
James Ruffin: No NFL team to take the attention away.

Arizona junior QB Nick Foles is expected to miss at least 2-3 weeks with a sprained knee suffered in last weekend's win over Washington State. Meanwhile, Arkansas is hoping that junior QB Ryan Mallett could return to practice as early as this afternoon after suffering a concussion in a loss to Auburn over the weekend. Mallett reportedly showed no symptoms of the concussion on Sunday.
