Scott Porter: What is your favorite memory while playing football at Fresno State?

Scott Porter: What are you looking forward to most when you get to the NFL?
Ryan Mathews: I am looking forward to being able to continue to play football because I love the game. I have been playing since I was seven years old. I am looking forward to accomplishing my dream that I have had since I was a young kid. I look forward to being in the spotlight as well.

Ryan Mathews: They are getting a hard worker who loves the game. I've played the game all of my life and know the game very well. They are getting someone they can count on.

Scott Porter: How would you describe your running style?
Ryan Mathews: I am a physical runner who is a good downhill runner. I can run between the tackles or to the outside. I am very versatile as far as that goes. However a team wants to use me I can be used.

Ryan Mathews: I am working hard to improve my speed and getting my body prepared for the NFL as best as I can. I am just preparing myself as well as I can.

Scott Porter: Who has been your biggest influence?
Ryan Mathews: My mom. She has always been there for me. She worked two jobs to support me throughout my life.
