Jeff Otah and Jordan Gross will both be free agents next summer and the Panthers don't appear to be sold on Otah who has missed extended playing time in each of the past three seasons with varoius injuries. Without a suitable replacement on the roster, finding an heir at right tackle is an immediate need. Luke Joeckel did a great job last year and formed one of the best tackle tandems in college football last year with Jake Matthews to protect Ryan Tannehill. He has ideal size and is a solid pass protector which is important given the amount of running the Panthers will do with their quarterback, Cam Newton.
