Nick Foles Scouting Report
Nick Foles
Nick Foles - Arizona (HT: 6-5 - WT: 245)
Combine 40: N/A - Position Rank: 4 of 8

Positives: Gets good velocity on his intermediate throws... Deadly accurate with his short to intermediate throws... Puts his receivers in a position to make a play after the catch... Posted up huge passing numbers, extremely productive at Arizona... Completes a high percentage of his passes, completed 67.1 percent of his throws this year... Steps into pressure and throws with defenders in his face... Best attribute is his ability to throw underneath routes by placing the ball where receivers can make plays... Plays up to competition, best three games of the year for him were against Oregon State, USC, and Oregon.

Negatives: Has only average arm strength, isn't going to blow anybody away with his throws... Plays in a spread aerial attack that focuses on short throws over the middle which has padded his statistics... Elongated release that will be picked apart by NFL scouts during post-season workouts... Feet look slow, has a tough time setting his feet when he gets out of position... Improved decision maker who fits well in Mike Stoops spread offense but may have trouble in the NFL when asked to set up under center and go through a natural progression... Not a scrambler by any means necessary, slow and will be prone to taking sacks... Suffered a sprained knee in week seven this year, forcing him to miss two games.
